For Hardcore Gamers.

LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 15, 2010 –Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) held its annual press conference today at the E3 Media & Business Summit in Los Angeles, Calif., announcing groundbreaking new products and services that further establish PlayStation’s leadership and cutting edge position in home entertainment. Since last Fall, the PlayStation® business has experienced unprecedented growth, fueling huge momentum into the new year. The company is poised once again to deliver consumers unrivaled entertainment options this year with the latest in 3D technology, introduction of PlayStation®Move games, and blockbuster games such as inFAMOUS 2, Twisted Metal®, Gran Turismo® 5, LittleBigPlanet™ 2, and Killzone® 3.
“We are transforming the way consumers interact and consume content in the living room and we’ve been redefining this entertainment experience now for 15 years,” said Jack Tretton, CEO and President of SCEA. “Sony is the undisputed leader in stereoscopic 3D technology and we are the only company to provide consumers with an end to end solution today. PlayStation is expanding what’s possible with Blu-ray technology by enhancing it with cutting edge stereoscopic 3D games and movies. In addition, we are providing entirely new motion gaming experiences with PlayStation Move.”
Stereoscopic 3D
SCEA announced on stage that some of the company’s biggest titles will be available to consumers this year in stereoscopic 3D, including MLB® 10 The Show, MotorStorm®: Apocalypse, Killzone® 3, The Sly Collection, and Gran Turismo®5. Beloved franchises from our publishing community will also make their way into consumer homes in stereoscopic 3D on the PlayStation®3 (PS3™) system, such as Crysis 2 from Electronic Arts, Mortal Kombat™ from Warner Brothers, Ubisoft’s Shaun White Skateboarding and TOM CLANCY™’S GHOST RECON: FUTURE SOLDIER™, as well as Disney Tron Evolution the Video Game, and 2K Sports’ NBA® 2K11. Unlike any other console on the market today, all 35.7 million PS3 units globally are capable of playing stereoscopic 3D games via a firmware update in April 2010. Four PS3 titles offering stereoscopic gaming experiences are currently available for download from the PlayStation®Network (PSN) including PAIN, MotorStorm® Pacific Rift, Super Stardust™ HD and WipEout® HD. The PS3 system will make 3D Blu-ray Disc movie support available later this year.
PlayStation® Move motion controller
SCEA also announced that on September 19, 2010 it will release a PlayStation Move bundle comprised of a PlayStation Move motion controller, PlayStation®Eye camera, Sports Champions™ Blu-ray disc game and PlayStation Move demo disc for $99.99 (RRP). Additionally, a PlayStation 3 Sports Champion Move Bundle, which includes a PS3 system, PlayStation Move motion controller, PlayStation Eye camera, Sports Champions Blu-ray game and PlayStation Move game demo disc, will be available for $399.99 (RRP). Yet another futuristic gaming device has been revealed at the annual E3 Conference this week. Nintendo has finally stepped up to the plate, unveiling the first-ever mobile 3D console: the "Nintendo 3DS." The design is similar to the popular Nintendo DSI handheld, still boasting the dual screens, but it packs in a ton of new features.
A small analog stick has been introduced on the left side as well as a motion sensor and three video cameras (one in front, two in back) so you can take 3D photographs. The most fascinating aspect of the 3DS is that those tacky Steve Urkel glasses you have to wear when viewing 3D movies or TV shows are not required. By simply staring straight into the main 3.5-inch screen, images, videos and games will appear three dimensionally. You also have the option of turning the 3D off and playing games in their regular format, which actually brightens the screen and increases resolution.
Third-party game developers have already signed off on the 3DS and plenty of Nintendo favorites will be released alongside the device. Keep a look out for "Metal Gear Solid," "Resident Evil," "Starfox," and even classics such as "Super Mario Bros." — all of which will be available in 3D.
On more of an awkward note, rumors have circulated that the new 3DS will seek out WiFi hotspots and other 3DS users that are close by without your permission. We still can't figure out if that's shady business or a blessing in disguise, but it's definitely interesting. No price or release date has been officially announced, but the console will come in three colors: black, red, or blue

Microsoft 360's Kinect Formerly Know As Project Natal.

Kinect is a camera for Xbox 360...
Let's boil this down to its most simple: Kinect is an Xbox 360 peripheral. Think of it as a webcam on steroids that plugs into the console's USB port that looks like it belongs with a PS3.
...formerly known as Project Natal...
Yes, you've heard "Project Natal" for a year now—and we've covered "Natal" extensively (read this and this if you haven't). That was just the working title. Now, it's called Kinect...which is horribly confusing to those of us who played Nike Kinetic on Sony's EyeToy, right?
...that uses IR to track you in 3D space...
So Kinect is smarter than your average webcam. First, it has excellent sight thanks to its secret trick: spotlighting the room with invisible infrared light. The camera sees you wonderfully thanks to this infrared. And, coupled with some advanced software that will run on the 360, it can track 48 points of your body in realtime for up to two players simultaneously.
...plus some other goodies...
Kinect is equipped with a microphone so you can talk to the 360. Also, it doesn't just see you in IR; it can also film you in full RGB color, recognizing your face to automatically sign you in. And its tilt? Fully motorized to track you! Oohhhh.
...equipped with a interface all its own...
When Kinect is equipped, you'll use a separate menu system than you've known on the 360. It's simpler, ditching tabs for simpler iconography. To load Netflix, you can wave to hit the Netflix button, or you just say "Netflix." Pause by telling it to pause or reaching in the air to grab a virtual pause button.
...and Skype-like chat software called "videokinect"...
Whether your friends are on Xbox Live or Windows Live Messenger, you can video chat with them. But you can also do some other neat stuff, like watch a video together. And as mentioned above, it can track you in realtime thanks to motion sensing and the motorized tilt.
...that's coming this November for an undisclosed price....

Congratulations Lewis Hamilton!

He is now on course to become one of the world’s biggest sports stars alongside the likes of golfer Tiger Woods, tennis player Roger Federer and footballer David Beckham.
Former driving greats have predicted he will go on to win more championships, earning himself hundreds of millions of pounds in wages and sponsorship deals in the process.
Hamilton had to survive a last-ditch scare before dramatically snatching the fifth place he needed in the Brazilian Grand Prix at Sao Paulo’s Interlagos circuit.
Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, racing in his home country, had already taken the chequered flag — and appeared to have bagged the title too after Lewis was overtaken by Germany’s Sebastien Vettel to enter the final lap in sixth place.
But the Brit, cheered on at trackside by his emotional family and Pussycat Doll girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, battled back into fifth spot by passing rival Timo Glock’s Toyota on the penultimate bend — just a kilometre from the finishing line.
His astonishing feat won him the F1 championship by a single point from Massa — and beat the age record set by his bitter Spanish rival Fernando Alonso, who won at 24 years, 58 days in 2005.
Lewis, born and raised in Hertfordshire, said after the race: “It’s amazing — I need to get my breath back.
“It was one of the hardest races of my life, if not the hardest. But we made it.
“I can forget everything else. I need to rest because my heart is on the edge.
JOY ... Lewis Hamilton's brother Nic with Nicole Scherzinger

“I want to shout out to all my supporters at home — I love them all.”
Asked if his title was the first of many, he said: “I hope so.
“I don’t know if my heart could take that final lap in many more seasons.”
After Lewis was informed over the McLaren team radio that he had taken the title, the emotional driver replied: “That was so pretty close.
“You guys have done an amazing job all season. This is for you and my family.”
The victory laid to rest last year’s bitter disappointment, when the driving sensation was in the same position on the last day — but blew his big chance.
The Brit, in only his second F1 season, now banks a £3million bonus for winning the Drivers’ Championship.
His achievement was greeted by boos from some Brazilian fans — but that did not dampen spirits in Lewis’ camp.
Proud dad Anthony, stepmum Linda, younger brother Nic and singer Nicole all showed their delight as they joined in the wild post-race celebrations.
Nicole, 30, said “Lewis is a fantastic driver.” Anthony described the final moments of the race as “absolutely the worst few minutes of my life”.
He added: “This is the culmination of 16 years’ work and we hope it’s inspirational for other families.
CHAMPION ... Lewis Hamilton after win

“We had no money when we started out, now we’re on top of the world.”
Lewis’s victory followed a day of sporting disaster for English cricket and rugby.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the country was “thrilled” by the win, while Tory leader David Cameron said: “Lewis is officially a British sporting legend and role model.”
Bookies William Hill named Lewis 4/5 favourite to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
And a punter pocketed £125,000 after betting on Lewis to win when the star was just 13.
The man, whose son raced go-karts with Lewis, bet £100 at 500/1 for him to win the title before he was 25, plus £50 at 1,500/1 on a double of a Grand Prix victory by the age of 23, and the title.
Lewis, is the first black to win the Formula one championship.

Zeitgeist 2 Addendum!
Zeitgeist: Addendum is a 2008 documentary film produced by Peter Joseph. It was premiered at the 5th Annual Artivist's Film Festival in Los Angeles, California on October 2, 2008,[2] and was released free online on October 4, 2008.[3]
Part 1
- There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by the sword. The other is by debt. - John Adams
[edit] Part 2
[edit] Part 3
- Greed and Competition are not the result of immutable human temperament... greed and fear of scarcity are in fact being created and amplified... the direct consequence is that we have to fight with each other in order to survive. - Bernard Lietaer
Part 3 asks for viewers to follow these suggestions:
- "Expose the Fed Cartel" by boycotting Citibank, JP Morgan Chase, and Bank of America
- "Boycott The News Networks," and to "use and protect the internet."
- "Don't ever allow yourself, your family, or anyone you know to ever join the military"
- Avoid purchasing from large energy companies
- Reject the political system
- Join The Zeitgeist Movement
This documentary film is just as good as the first one. Peter joseph really went in.

Sadly for Rasheed his season ended with an at home Game 6 loss to the Boston Celtics. Arriving unannounced at a few doors starting a few days ago is a set of three high top Rasheed Air Force Ones including the White/Blue pair that he has worn for most of the Playoffs.

Welcome Home Foxy!!

Breaking News: Foxy Brown Released From Rikers, "I'm Back Baby!"written by Danica DowFriday - April 18, 2008Foxy BrownAfter serving eight months of a one year sentence in a New York prison, Foxy Brown was officially released today (April 1 at approximately 12:45 p.m.Before jumping into a white Rolls Royce Phantom and leading a caravan of cars away, Foxy (born Inga Marchand) greeted the fans, media and well-wishers who waited outside the jail. She embraced many of the bystanders and offered thanks."This is a big day for me," Brown told SOHH. "To have everybody here that I love, my whole family, the whole Brooklyn, the officers that took care of me at Rikers. Eight months to the day, I remember going in in August and I said when I come out, I'm coming out even better. And I'm back baby, it's a wrap."Foxy's manager and Black Hand Entertainment CEO, Chazz Williams, who was on the scene today told SOHH, "It's a beautiful day. I was out here when she went in and I'm here when she's coming out. You can expect big things from her and we won't be walking this path again any time soon."In a prior interview Williams explained the rapper's release to SOHH, "She is not getting out early. Foxy served her entire sentence [under] good time, that is, days deducted by the law that every prisoner gets unless it's procedurally taken [away] for breaking prison rules."As SOHH previously reported, the Brooklyn-bred rapper was sentenced to a year in New York's Riker's Island after violating her probation in connection with a 2004 assault charge.Foxy was on probation for assaulting two manicurists in a Manhattan salon in 2004. She was warned by a judge in March 2007 that she would be sent to prison for a year if she got into any trouble with the law.Five months after the warning, Foxy was sentenced and incarcerated (Sept. 7) for assaulting her neighbor, Arleen Raymond.Early conflicts while in prison such as physical altercations with fellow inmates, verbally abusing a corrections officer and refusing to provide a urine sample, landed Foxy in the hole for misconduct. While she was initially supposed to serve 76 days in solitary confinement, she was released in 40 days for good behavior. With her release, Foxy's focus is now on her fourth studio album Brooklyn's Don Diva. The album, her first with Black Rose Entertainment/Koch Records, was supposed to drop on February 5th, but was pushed back to await the rapper's release. As for her rumored VH1 reality series, Willaims said, "We are in talks with a number of networks and film studios regarding new opportunities."Brooklyn's Don Diva is scheduled to be released on May 13.
