This is truly disgusting. This Tennessee man, Herbert Mike Merritt has us re-evaluating the meaning of “gut full of human.” He was convicted of first-degree murder after shooting another man at a bar and then eating part of his lung!!!

Herbert Mike Merritt, 49, shot Anthony Ford, 45, six times before stabbing him repeatedly and devouring his flesh.

Merritt carved open his chest cavity and thought he was eating a piece of heart – but was actually eating lung.

He had told a court he suffered a psychotic breakdown and was insane when he killed Ford at Friends Sports Bar & Grill in June 2008.

Merritt was convicted of first-degree murder at Knox County Criminal Court.

He must serve at least 51 years in prison and will not be eligible for parole until he is aged 100.

Prosecutor Leslie Nassios said: ””He carved open his chest cavity, plucked out what he thought was heart and, by his own account, took a bite of it.”

Nassios told Knox County Criminal Court jurors in closing arguments today that Merritt was a drug addict who exaggerated symptoms to get prescription painkillers.

“He likes to get high,” Nassios said. “That’s his thing. This is not a case where you’re dealing with someone who is insane.”

Jacob Andrew Minton was arrested on attempted first-degree murder after attacking a child in her hospital room

A man tried to murder his girlfriend's two-year-old daughter after she was taken to hospital for injuries she suffered at her home, according to police.

Jacob Andrew Minton, from Wilkes County, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder for the attack on the toddler in her hospital room at 7.30am Sunday.

The 26-year-old is not related to the child but is said to have been in a relationship with the mother.

Winston-Salem Police Capt David Clayton said the girl was being treated for injuries she had suffered at her home in Wilkes County the night before.

He said investigators are trying to determine what injuries prompted the girl to be taken to the hospital initially.

She was airlifted by a medical helicopter at about midnight Saturday from a location in Wilkes County.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported that the toddler was in hospital for injuries sustained when Minton started beating her at her home.

Hospital employees called police about the attack on the girl who is now in stable condition at Brenner Children's Hospital.

Capt Clayton said the child's mother was interviewed about the incident.

Minton was being held in the Forsyth County Jail on $400,000 bail.

Police said Minton's criminal record in Wilkes County includes larceny, littering and driving while impaired.

A statement released by the hospital confirmed that this was not a random attack.

It said: 'Our hearts go out to the child who was the victim of this senseless act and to the child's family. Our primary focus at this time is the continued care and safety of the child.

'This was not a random act. Information released by the Winston-Salem Police Department clarifies that the man who was arrested was a friend of the patient's mother and was visiting the child with the mother's permission.

'A violent incident like this one is obviously very disturbing to our staff of committed caregivers. Our approach to safety is proactive and continuous. We have many policies and procedures in place -- as well as a well-trained security staff -- to protect our patients.

Camborne, England - David Truscott, a 41-year-old Pengegon Parc man was jailed after he terrorized a family for 6 years by rolling around naked and masturbating in cow manure located on the family's farm

According to Camborne police, Truscott violated a court order in February when he broke into a family farm, covered himself in cow manure and was seen masturbating by the farmer's 16-year-old son.

A judge had placed a restraining order that barred him from the farm after he repeatedly terrorized them with the same behavior over a six-year period.

Investigators say Truscott was first discovered by the family in 2004 when he was seen masturbating while immersed in the feces of a muck spreader. The family began keeping their equipment clean because of his disgusting behavior.

This apparently angered him, so he lit a pen on fire that contained a cow and her two twin calves. Sadly, the cow perished in the fire and Truscott was charged with arson and burglary as a result. He was sentenced to three years in jail after pleading guilty to the charges.

The family's then three-year-old son was so traumatized by the incident that they had to show him every night that the smoke detectors were working, and had to ensure him that the house was not going to catch fire.

In 2009, Truscott was again found naked in a mound of manure on the family's farm. He was jailed for another 20 weeks and this time was issued a restraining order, which he has breached on several occasions since then.

On another occasion, Truscott allegedly entered a milking parlour, stripped down to his underpants and climbed into a huge vat of manure.

He was booked into jail and was charged with breaching a restraining order and harassment. He has been sentenced to 2 years in prison.

Oklahoma Couple Arrested for Having Sexual Relations with Their Dog

According to police, a 13-year-old girl, along with a guardian, came forward to detectives after the girl allegedly found videos of her aunt having sexual intercourse with a dog during a time when the aunt and her husband were pressuring the teen to have sex with the husband.

Investigators say the girl was living with her aunt and aunt's husband when she discovered video recordings of her aunt having sex with a canine. The teen also reportedly found email chats between the couple discussing sexual dreams that involved the children of the house.

The teen also had a letter the couple had written encouraging the teen to have sex with her aunt's husband.

Detectives served a search warrant on the residence, seizing various recording equipment, computer equipment, DVD videos, and six grams of marijuana. Among the videos, police discovered recordings of the couple having sex with a canine.

The couple was booked into jail on charges of crimes against nature, conspiracy to commit a felony, soliciting sex with a minor, indecent exposure-indecent exhibitions of obscene material or child pornography-solicitation of minors, possession of marijuana in the presence of a child under 12, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a disorderly house.

The teen girl and three boys under the age of 15 were all removed from the home. Detectives are continuing to investigate to determine if the three boys were sexually assaulted by the couple.

Woman raped with live snake

Two white men are accused of sexually assaulting a 32-year-old woman and penetrating her with a live snake during the assault.

John D. Bullock, 24, 1003 Briar Lane, Altoona, and Damonta D. Jones, 25, 510 1/2 Platt St., each were charged Wednesday in Eau Claire County Court with a felony count of first-degree sexual assault.

Judge Paul Lenz set $30,000 cash bails for both men.

Assistant district attorney Meri Larson called the incident "a violent attack on the victim."

Larson requested the cash bail for both men for different reasons. Bullock has skipped prior court appearances for unrelated criminal charges in Eau Claire and Barron counties, while Jones is on a probation hold for two separate sexual assault convictions in Eau Claire and Racine counties, Larson said.

Bullock and Jones return to court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.

According to the criminal complaint:

The woman told police she was at Jones' residence in the early morning hours of Nov. 11 with Jones, Bullock and two female friends. The group was drinking alcohol and dancing.

At one point, one of the female friends left the residence, while the second went to take a shower. Jones then invited the woman into a bedroom to see his children's pictures.

When she walked into the bedroom, the woman said she was struck in the head with an unknown object and thrown on the floor before blacking out.

The woman said the next thing she remembered was Jones held her while Bullock sexually assaulted her.

Jones then said, "I'm going to get the snake."

The woman said a short time later she felt something inside her. She believes the snake may have bitten her because she felt a sharp pain followed by someone saying "pull it out."

Bullock told police he had sexual contact with the woman, but it was consensual.

If convicted, Bullock and Jones each could be sentenced to up to 40 years in prison.

JOLIET, Ill. (CBS/WBBM/AP) A 19-year-old suburban Chicago teen pleaded guilty to first-degree murder Thursday in the killing of his 4-year-old half sister.


Prosecutors say Keith Randulich stabbed Sabrina Clement to death in their Mokena, Ill. home on May 22, 2009.



According to CBS affiliate WBBM, Randulich called 911 about 8 p.m. that day and when police arrived, they found the girl's body in the basement.


The girl suffered what was described in court by Assistant State's Attorney Mike Fitzgerald as "numerous and massive stab wounds to her neck," according to a release from the Will County State Attorney's office.


The teen allegedly told police at the time that he had killed the girl because someone was abusing her. Because he couldn't kill her abuser, Randulich said, he killed his half sister instead.


He took the girl to the basement of his home and stabbed her to death with a steak knife while she was lying on the floor. His parents were not home at the time.


Prosecutors will argue that the crime was brutal and heinous when they ask the judge to hand down a life sentence.


"This was a crime of unspeakable cruelty and horror," said State's Attorney James Glasgow. "One cannot begin to fathom what would prompt a young man to commit such an atrocity against his little sister."


Randulich will be sentenced Jan. 25.

White Man Charged With Murdering Missing Teen, Having Sex With Corpse

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville man has been charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of an 18-year-old Sullivan University student.
Andrew Compton was last seen Oct. 28. His parents have put up fliers with his picture in store windows, on the Internet and Facebook, hoping someone saw something and can tell them where their son is.
"Most of the time, it's all I think about, nig More..ht and day or I wake up in the middle of the night. Think of, try to think of, some place where he might be, but he had only been here a month," said Compton's mother, Angela Compton. Andrew Compton was a freshman at Sullivan University, studying culinary arts. Classes started in September.
His parents said he often met people online and did so the night he vanished.
Early Tuesday morning, Louisville Metro Police arrested 40-year-old Gregory O'Bryan and charged him with murder.
According to arrest records, a search of Compton's computer found e-mails between Compton and O'Bryan.
Louisville Police have confirmed that Compton and O'Bryan met on a dating website.Police said surveillance video shows Compton meeting up with O'Bryan at Sullivan University on the night he disappeared. Police said O'Bryan originally told them that he picked Compton up on Oct. 28, bought alcohol and took him back to his apartment, where they had sex.
O'Bryan told detectives that Compton left his apartment on foot.
On Monday, police executed a search warrant at O'Bryan's apartment. According to arrest records, O'Bryan admitted to detectives that Compton died during sex. Police said O'Bryan also admitted to having sex with Compton's after his death and to disposing of the body.O'Bryan is charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
Police said they are searching the landfill in Indiana for Compton's remains.
Compton graduated from Carmel High School, in Carmel, Ind., this year. Tuesday, John Williams, principal of Carmel High School, issued a statement on Compton's death:
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic death of one of our fellow Greyhounds, Andrew Compton, a 2010 graduate of Carmel High School. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of great loss. Andrew spoke frequently with his teachers about his passion for the culinary arts. He will be missed by all who knew him.”
O'Bryan's family released a statement Tuesday afternoon that read, "Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to the Compton family. We ask that the media respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Burglary Suspect Found Naked With Mouse Lodged In His Butt

SENECA, SC (WCSC) - A burglary call for Oconee County sheriff's deputies turned bizarre Monday morning when their suspect was found naked with a mouse in his rectum and apparently drugged, an incident report shows.

Authorities responded to Bernwood Circle near the town of Seneca late Monday morning after a resident complained of a burglar. When deputies arrived, they found Noah Smith, 31, lying face down and naked inside the doorway of the victim's home, the report stated.

When the deputy tried to make contact with Smith, he slapped the deputy. In return, the deputy deployed his taser, which had no effect on Smith, the report stated.

With reinforcements, deputies approached Smith again in the victim's bedroom. A deputy managed to handcuff Smith before he jumped off the victim's bed and tried to kick other deputies in the room, the report stated.

Then, according to the report, Smith was pepper sprayed. Undeterred, Smith continued to kick at the officers and otherwise evade capture. He was struck with a police baton several times, and Smith attempted to bite the deputy.

Smith's head and mouth were covered with a blanket to prevent him from biting. He was wrestled down so shackles could be placed on his legs and his arms were hog-tied, the report stated. An EMS crew responded and provided a stretcher to which Smith was also tied.

Deputies and officers from the Seneca Police Department opined that Smith might have been high on mushrooms, and identified equipment that could be used to get high in the victim's home.

During a medical exam at a nearby hospital, medical personnel found a mouse tail hanging from Smith's rectum. An X-ray revealed a mouse lodged inside Smith.

He told emergency room personnel that he could not remember what had happened to him.

After the medical exam, he was charged with resisting arrest, 1st and 3rd degree assault a battery charges, and indecent exposure. Smith was transported to the Oconee County Detention Center.

Truly bizarre. What’s next? Actually we’d rather not know…

Suzanne Morgan , 32, had just layed her 17-month-old daughter to sleep. Morgan’s dog Dixie, however, was wide awake and barking nonstop, which meant she was hungry. The British single mom had ransacked her pantry and fridge and came up empty; she had forgotten to buy Dixie’s food. Her eyes zeroed in on some bottles of breast milk in the far corner of her unstocked refrigerator. Could she feed her dog breast milk?

Dixie’s barking had grown louder and louder. “I stared at the milk and then back at Dixie. I couldn’t, could I?” Morgan questioned. Since the frenzied woman could not take the dog’s hunger cries any more, she decided to pour some breast milk in to its bowl. Dixie lapped it up with a passion, the barking stopped.

Since breaking up with her child’s father more than a year ago, Morgan’s finances were tight.

It was obvious Dixie enjoyed the breast milk, so Morgan decided to search the Internet to see if there were other women who had been giving breast milk to their pets. Much to her surprise, she found women who had given breast milk to their dogs, cats and even pigs, but not only did they pour the breast milk in to bowls, but some had even allowed the animals to suckle at their breasts too. “Oh my, God, I gasped, as I looked at a photo of a woman with a cat suckling on her boob. Surely that was unhygienic? Not to mention painful,” says Morgan. Suddenly, she had a lightbulb moment.
She wondered if she should allow her dog to breastfeed too. Besides, there were other women who were touting the experience of breastfeeding your pet as being just as rewarding as feeding a baby.

After absorbing all that she could find on the subject, Morgan made the decision to breastfeed her little dog. She started out by first feeding her daughter. Then with the opposite breast, she would express some milk out, rub it around the nipple then offer it to her dog. She did have reservations about being bitten, scratched or hurt, but Dixie was gentle. Morgan admits that it tickled at first, but then it felt as if it were her daughter feeding on her breast. “Despite having a mouthful of sharp teeth, Dixie didn’t bite me,” enthuses the Mom. After 10 minutes of feeding, Morgan gently pulled the dog away.
Morgan did call her doctor to determine if breastfeeding her dog was safe. She claims her doctor was silent at first, but then said that if they both were healthy, then there would be no real risk. Morgan does disinfect herself, after Dixie feeds. And while her toddler has lost interest in breastfeeding now, Dixie continues to enjoy it.

Morgan is now pregnant with her second child. Sadly, she did not remain with the child’s father and broke up with him after only four months of being together. She never disclosed to him or her family that she breastfeeds her dog. “I was itching to tell someone about it. But how? My mum, and my mates would think I’d gone mad. So I kept it to myself,” she says. Morgan is ecstatic, however, that Dixie’s breastfeeding is relieving some of the fullness of her breasts. She feeds the canine twice a day for 20 minutes at a time.
The expectant Mom is due in June. Does she plan to stop breastfeeding Dixie? Well, Morgan insists that when she’s around the third month, she’ll put breastfeeding her dog on hold, express milk for her, then pick it up again around month four. What’s the point? None! It’s just a system that Morgan finds works for her.
