Why are whites so obsessed with blacks and our culture?! Actress Ashely Judd says Hip Hop culture is responsible for rape.

You mean to tell me this broad who comes from dysfunctional family and was raped by her own family, blames it on hip hop culture? Another case where a white person want to use blacks or our culture as scapegoat of their own problems. Ho sit down! She went after diddy and snoop when eminem raps about killing his own mother. Why do white people stay obsessed with blacks and our culture? Is it because they don't have any culture to call their own? Maybe that's why they're the biggest swagger jackers on the planet.

Longtime Hollywood actress Ashley Judd has released a memoir this past Tuesday (April 5) and in it the daughter of celebrated country music singer Naomi Judd and half-sister to singer Wyonna Judd blasted rap stars Snoop Dogg and Diddy.

A known global advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness, Ashley Judd spoke fondly of her work with the YouthAids campaign but offered blistering disdain for Snoop and Diddy’s inclusion in the campaign where she serves as an ambassador.

Judd’s resistance to Snoop Dogg and Diddy was rooted in the idea that the actress is a strong of opponent of hip hop and she offered some insight within her book. “Along with other performers, YouthAIDS was supported by rap and hip-hop artists like Snoop Dogg and P. Diddy to spread the message ... um, who? Those names were a red flag,” she said.

Judd went on to add, “As far as I'm concerned, most rap and hip-hop music – with its rape culture and insanely abusive lyrics and depictions of girls and women as 'ho's' – is the contemporary soundtrack of misogyny." Harsh words indeed.

The well-schooled actress, who holds undergraduate degrees in French, Women’s Studies and a Master’s degree in Public Administration, revealed also in her memoir that she suffered sexual and physical abuse as a child and that she often felt lost. She shares in a new People magazine issue, “My childhood was erratic, chaotic, unstable," she said. “I was so the lost child, who just goes away and can be invisible while sitting in the middle of the room."

As reported last week, in her new book Ashley Judd called hip-hop “…the root cause of poverty and suffering around the world.” And now, she’d like to “apologize”…

After ?uestlove’s initial responses to Judd’s comments, Talib Kweli and 9th Wonder also took to Twitter to voice their sentiments about the issue. Amidst the outcry, Judd took to Russell Simmons’ GlobalGrind.com early on Monday to apologize for her statements, saying that while some of her words were taken out of context, she is at fault for the generalizations she made.

“The outcry regarding my remarks, 2 paragraphs out of my 400+ page book, regarding hip hop and rap, has been astounding as it is out of context…The general theme [now] is to express my gratitude for a chance to learn, to be corrected where I was wrong, to make amends, and hold firm and strong on the original intention and context of points I made, with a commitment to try to do so less clumsily and with more sensitivity in the future.”

She added, “I so regret that my indictment of rape culture as a whole has been interpreted as me blaming rap and hip hop exclusively. That was absolutely not my intention, and I so regret it has had that effect on some people. “

Judd finished by saying her eyes had been opened to a distinction between Rap and Hip Hop, and she’d also been introduced to new music. “Thank you to fans of both [Rap and Hip Hop] who have introduced me to artists whose lyrics embody activism and progressive values. I am glad to have more beats for my playlists. I celebrate the music, its meaning, and those who love it.”

It’s always hilarious when people want to apologize after making ignorant, broad generalizations, about people or a culture. Keep your apologies and put ‘em up your a** lady. You said what you meant and we’re not about to believe any different.

Quick question though. Do these pictures promote misogyny or rape too? Oh, we guess this is just your “art” huh? Gotcha…

The complexion for protection. White woman that escaped prison gets set free even though she committed another crime, now is appearing on oprah

Marie Walsh, also known as Susan LeFevre, shares her story after 32 years as a fugitive. SMH

Marie Walsh, Inmate 140217 and Susan LeFevre may all represent the same woman, but the identities represent very different lives.

At 4 p.m. today, the woman now known as Marie Walsh will sit down opposite Oprah Winfrey and talk about her 32 years as a fugitive. On Friday, she’ll appear on NBC’s Today Show as part of the promotion of her new book “A Tale of Two Lives: The Susan LeFevre Fugitive Story,” by Marie S. Walsh, also known as Susan LeFevre.

Walsh, a former Thomas Township resident best known in Saginaw County as Susan LeFevre, was 19 when she was arrested Jan. 8, 1974, with Richard A. Anderson, her boyfriend at the time, for selling heroin to an undercover officer during a sting in Thomas Township.

LeFevre and Anderson both pleaded guilty to drug and conspiracy charges and received prison sentences of 10 to 20 years apiece, though Walsh said she was promised probation for her guilty plea.

“I was put right into the belly of the beast,” Walsh said. “I saw the so-called drug war and how the justice system was really dealing with the drug problem.

Walsh admits to using drugs before her arrest but said prison rehab was reserved for people about to complete their sentences, and most of her one year and 19 days in prison were filled by torment rather than trying to get better.

“They kept telling me they were going to make me scum like everybody else,” Walsh said. “They told me they were going to crush me.”

The 1973 Arthur Hill High School graduate said she decided she had to get out. She said she climbed a barbed-wire fence and her grandfather helped her escape from the Scott Correctional Facility in Wayne County in 1976.

“I didn’t want to be a fugitive,” she said. “On one hand, it felt really good to be free and escaped from such a situation, but on the other hand I was really worried, and I left everything I knew.”

Walsh said the conditions and treatment she experienced in prison led her to write her book.

“I knew how terrible it was to be in the prison system. I could hear rapes down the hallways and would wonder when my number would come up,” Walsh said. “Nobody believes an inmate, and that’s why I’m doing this, because people don’t believe inmates.”

Anderson, Walsh’s codefendant and a Vietnam veteran, served about 2 years before his release. He was killed execution-style four years later. His slaying is unsolved.

A married couple out for a walk along Banner near East in Spaulding Township found Anderson’s body in a water-filled ditch Sept. 29, 1981.

Meanwhile, LeFevre had already made it west to California. She began going by her middle name, Marie, and using the last name Day. She said she made up a social security number similar to her own and obtained a California driver’s license.

“I was as surprised as anybody when I got a license,” she said, adding that her new identity allowed her to work low-paying jobs, such as at a mall juice bar, but not much else. “It didn’t seem to matter, but usually, after a year, I’d have to move on to a different job.”

As the years went on, she married and had three children. She said she always was wary of detection.

“I led a pretty normal life,” Walsh said recently from her home in California. “But I always did have to worry. I didn’t just get off.”

In March 2008, authorities received an anonymous online tip, which Walsh said was merely a website listing absconders, that the woman they were searching for was living in suburban San Diego. Investigators confirmed her identity, and federal marshals in April 2008 pulled Walsh over in the neighborhood of the Del Mar, Calif., home where she lived with her husband, Alan Walsh, and three children.

A month later, she was back in the Michigan prison system, and once again she was Susan LeFevre. In September 2008, she pleaded guilty to escape and was sentenced to five years probation and 18 months of parole. In January 2009, parole board members voted unanimously to free her.

She went back to California, and back to the name Marie.

“They destroyed Susan, they killed her,” Walsh said. “Susan was a really nice young girl who trusted people, who believed them when they said they were going to give her probation. I said goodbye to her on my way to California.”

Thank grandholm for her not serving the prison sentence the judge deem proper for a high level herion dealer . But when you come from a family of lawyers and bowling ally mongrols it all about buying your way out

only evil people support the drugwar
rational humans support Harm Reduction Policies.
Wow, "they promised me probation" for selling herion. Ya right. People are still believing her and will make her rich. Just remember when your 19 year old daughter sells herion and wants to escape from prison- you must help her because it's not her fault. No wonder why the world is the way it is. Poor little drug dealer, done wrong.

Not only they let this criminal heffa free, but now she's trying to get fame and profit out of using her white privilege card when most black men or other ethnic folks will probably get a longer sentence added on and not a second chance.

White Man Who Beat Black Army Reservist in Front of Her Child Serves Only 43 Days in Jai

A white man from Georgia who beat a black female Army reservist as her young child looked on and begged him to stop has been released from jail early.

Troy Dale West (pictured above) had only been sentenced to six months in prison for beating Tasha Hill (pictured below), after they had words while both trying to enter a Cracker Barrel restaurant.

White Man Who Beat Black Army Reservist In Front of Her Child Only Serves 43 Days in Jail, Troy Dale WestWest allegedly punched Hill in the face, kicked her as she fell to the ground and yelled racial epithets.

"I heard my daughter screaming, 'Mommy! Mommy!"' Hill said. "I was scared. I didn't know why it was happening."

During the trial, West's defense presented Hill as a hothead with a history of violence who spit on West and initiated the encounter. While evidence shows that Hill certainly may need anger counseling, West's brutal attack on this woman is inexcusable. I wonder would he have been as quick to attack a man of similar stature?

Despite the beat-down that he issued to a woman, West pleaded to misdemeanor charges in a plea deal that netted him only six months behind bars; he was facing felony charges and 44 years in jail.

It's even more of an insult that West did not serve the length of his short term. Given the way he beat Hill, isn't anyone concerned that this guy might be easy to set off and that he needs to learn there are serious consequences for unjustified violence?

"Someone that abuses a dog gets more time than West got," Hill's lawyer, Mawuli Mel Davis said.

The sheriff in Clayton County, Georgia, said West received two days of time served credit for every day he painted trailers. He also acknowledged receiving pressure from West's friends to release him early, but said he did not relent.

I don't think we should take his word for it. An independent authority should launch an investigation.

Even more disturbing is that I can't imagine a black man in Georgia getting this sort of break if he had beat a white woman, even a white woman who had spit on him. The scars of racial injustice run deep in the South.

"Where I'm from, Mr. West, it's not good for a man to hit a woman. Also, where I'm from, it's not good to spit on a person. I can only imagine what my response would have been," Judge Geronda V. Carter said during her sentencing.

However, West, who was a foot taller and weighed more than 100 pounds than Hill, could have easily killed her. I would be moved to the point of anger if anyone spit on me, but the right thing for West to do would have been to contact police.

West's release also sends a message to African Americans that the justice system does not look out for us. When you talk to young black men who carry illegal weapons, many of them will say that they feel it is necessary to protect themselves because the system is not going to.

Hill's attitude was no excuse for the beat-down she received in front of her child.

She'll probably proceed with her civil suit, but given some of the evidence presented during the trial, she should also proceed to anger-management counseling. Every hot head needs to remember that they could run in to their match one day.

That said, we need to learn to treat one another how we would want to be treated. Despite the stress of life, work and kids, it's not right to take that stress out on someone else.

Two banks have had their windows smashed at 21st and Broadway. At Ozumo, someone smashed a window and there are broken bottles around the restaurant. )Oakland Acura at 24th and Harrison had its windows broken.

10:20 p.m. More than 60 police officers being brought in from Contra Costa County

Hundreds of police officers from Berkeley, Fremont, Hayward, San Francisco and other departments have been on hand today and tonight helping Oakland police with the protests, violence and looting in downtown. Now, at least 60 police officers from Contra Costa County are being brought in to assist. The crowd of a couple dozen is now at Grand Avenue and Telegraph near a Taco Bell. Oakland police are reporting that BART has closed the 19th Street station because of civil unrest.

10:05 p.m. Stores being looted on Broadway

The crowd just broke into the Oakland Coin and Jewelry Exchange and raided the place, and police are actively moving in. Oaksterdam at 19th and Broadway had its windows broken. Police threw flash bang grenades and are moving in with bean bag guns. JC Jewelry at 19th and Broadway had its metal gate ripped off and there is shattered glass everywhere and all the case inside are broken. People are breaking into the Sears store at 20th and Broadway using the metal bats to break the display window, stripping the mannequins of their clothes. Mannequins were set on fire. More flash grenades went off. All of the windows along Telegraph in the Sears are smashed. They were trying to get through the door, but there are security gates behind it.There was a pretty large mob and one man with a metal pipe smashing the winds.
The crowd is about 100 people now. At 19th and Broadway, police have established a police line and there are at least four fires in Dumpsters in the middle of the street. At times you can see cops with guns facing off with a line of people armed with cameras. The streetlights have been turned on and off sporadically over the last 20 minutes.

9:46 p.m. Garbage can set afire, thrown down 19th Street BART station stairs

Garbage cans have been set afire at 19th Street and thrown down the stairs of the BART station there.
Three Dumpsters are on fire on 19th Street, and they're being pulled out into the middle of the street by people wearing masks. Police have established a perimeter around the area and appear ready to move in on protesters.

9:40 p.m. Problems in downtown continue

Police have used a flash bang grenade, sending dozens of people running at 17th Street and Telegraph Avenue. It lightly charred the hood of a media van. An officer had a bottle thrown at him. Police are still moving the crowd down 17th Street from Broadway. The police are in an organized walk away from the protesters, with people surging forward.
Police are orderly, facing forward, stepping away from people. Protesters are being emboldened by this and have retaken 17th and Broadway.
"I just hope it doesn't get any worse that what it's been so far. This certainly is not peace or justice for Oscar," said Councilmember Larry Reid shortly after police cleared 14th Street and Broadway. "And I was hoping people would pay attention to what Oscar Grant's family asked folks to do — to exercise their constitutional rights but do it in a way that didn't cause property damage or any physical harm to anyone."
The Sheriff's Office is bringing in buses to take away people who've been arrested.

9:25 p.m. Close to 400 people are on downtown streets, crowd is moving up 15th toward Webster

Police have arrested dozens of people for fighting with officers, possession of weapons and on other charges. Prominent Oakland Attorney Walter Riley was one of them. It appeared he didn't comply quickly enough with police orders.
There is a crowd of people shouting "Justice for Oscar Grant" on the street. Police are swarming around the Lionel Wilson building. CHP cars had their windows taped, but people smashed the windows on one car with bricks, breaking the windshield. People are chanting: "Whose street? Our street!"
Police have beanbag shotguns, but they have not used them.

9 p.m. Windows smashed, looting going on in downtown

People are smashing windows and police are not stopping the looting or window smashing in the area of 14th and 15th and Broadway. A massive number of CHP officers are on the scene.
Police are pushing people north on Broadway. Police are forming a line at Broadway and 14th Street facing east. There is a crowd corralled in Frank Ogawa Plaza.

Lauren Whitehead, 26, of Oakland is yelling at people with black masks who are setting fire to shoe boxes in the street. The Foot Locker at 14th and Broadway had its windows smashed earlier and people pulled shoes, T-shirts and other items from the store.
"It's hard for me to watch somebody walk from window to window to window and knock it out with a hammer. It's hard for me to watch someone start a fire in the middle of a street I walk down every day, because it doesn't help," she said.

One man who ran out of the Foot Locker came out with two different size sneakers then ran back and asked someone to get him a size 8.

Stephen Allen, 22, got caught up in a mob that broke through the gate of the Foot Locker, looting the store of shoes and sportswear. Allen was upset.

"Before the sun went down I was happy with everything," the West Oakland resident said. "It's no longer about Oscar Grant. The people who went in there and came out with shoes. That's not about Oscar Grant anymore. What we had before the sun went down, that was justice. This is just pure stupidity."

8:40 p.m. Shoe store being looted, police declare unlawful assembly

Police declared unlawful assembly at 13th and Broadway and are ordering the area cleared. They are going to clear the area with force and are threatening the use of chemical agents.

The Foot Locker on Broadway has had its windows smashed, and looters are pulling shoes, T-shirts and other items from the store. Hangers and shoe boxes are all over the ground at 14th and Broadway.

Windows at the Rite-Aid store at 14th and Broadway have been cracked. The Far East National Bank has also had its window broken.
About 100 police officers are coming up Broadway to help quell the situation. Police are donning masks and helmets. and saying that people who stay are risking serious injuries. People in the crowd are donning tear gas masks.

There is a man on ground with a video camera. Witnesses say at least four police officers swarmed around him and pressed his face to the ground before handcuffing him and dragging him away.

There are people out with signs that say "killer cops." Demonstrators are taking cell phone pictures and video.
Police have re-established a line at 14th and Broadway, as five protesters have lined up and are locking arms as if they're not going to move. Police are redeploying a riot line.

Two men who started a game of chess nearly three hours ago are still playing the game in the middle of a crosswalk.

8:30 p.m. Bottles, cans being thrown, three arrested

Police have now arrested three people, including two for fighting with police and one for throwing a Molotov cocktail. Police have started taking away cans and bottles from people who were tossing them at officers at the intersection of 13th and Broadway.
Someone has broken a window at the Subway shop at 1312 Broadway.

People fled up Broadway toward 14th, but calm was restored.

8:20 p.m. Protesters and police begin to clash

At 12th Street, south of Broadway there are a handful of people wearing bandannas on their faces. There are protesters approaching police skirmish lines in that area. One officer gently shoved back a protester who was getting too close to the line. They are chanting "no justice, no peace.'' There are about 200 protesters up against the line, which includes about 60 police officers.

8:05 p.m. Police make some arrests in downtown as official event ends peacefully

Police have arrested two people for fighting with officers and they also detained a handful of others for being on roof near 12th and Broadway. Police thought they might drop items onto the street. A few people have thrown bottles at police. Meanwhile, the music has ended and many people are leaving the area.

7:45 p.m. Mayor Dellums thanks people for peaceful protests- so far

Mayor Ron Dellums and Chief Anthony Batts commended Oakland residents for what have been overwhelmingly peaceful protests.
''Up to this moment, while passionate and very aggressively talking about the need for justice, people have done so in a manner that is peaceful,' Dellums said. He added, "I want to compliment people for their passion for justice but also their passion for peace."

7:40 p.m. Department of Justice to do independent review

Alejandro Miyar, a spokesman for the Department of Justice (DOJ) said the office has been closely monitoring the state's investigation and prosecution. "The Civil Rights Division, the U.S. attorney's office, and the FBI have an open investigation into the fatal shooting and, at the conclusion of the state prosecution, will conduct an independent review of the facts and circumstances to determine whether the evidence warrants federal prosecution."

Congresswoman Barbara Lee, (D-Oakland) said her office has been in touch with the DOJ and has been "reassured that they are moving forward and conducting a thorough and independent review of the verdict." "No verdict can ever replace the loss of a son, a father and a friend. Our condolences continue to go out to the family of Oscar Grant during this trying time,'' she said in a statement.

7:30 p.m. People react differently in downtown

On Broadway between 13th and 14th there are still 500 to 800 people gathered. When one young man started shouting that the crowd should riot he was quickly quieted by Oakland resident Brenda Appleby. "Maybe the verdict is wrong,'' Appleby said. "But this is my community and my town. We have to stop talking about (the shooting) like it just hurt us black people. We need to stop looking at just color. This is about what happened to human being."

Meanwhile, an officer with the Alameda County probation department, who asked that his name not be printed for fear of losing his job, was not pleased with the verdict. I feel like (the verdict) was a slap on the wrist (for Mehserle). I don't trust the system and I work for the system."

7 p.m. Oscar Grant's grandfather speaks out for peace, update on public transit

Police are blocking Broadway at 12th Street; 12th Street at Telegraph Avenue; 13th and Broadway; and 14th and Franklin. Meanwhile, people are playing music about 20 feet from the police line at 12th and Broadway.
Oscar Grant Sr., 64, of Hayward, the grandfather of Oscar Grant III, is downtown. He urged the crowd to stay peaceful no matter how angry they are.

"Don't come out here to fight," he said. "Don't dishonor my grandson's death by coming out here and tearing up Oakland. ... I know the verdict was wrong, but let's not tear up Oakland for it."

Meanwhile, the Broadway entrance to the 12th Street/Oakland City Center BART station is closed, according to BART officials. The other entrances are still open. That particular entrance has been closed at the recommendation of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office because of crowding, BART spokesman Jim Allison said. Trains are running on time, he said.

AC Transit has diverted buses around downtown Oakland, but AC Transit spokesman Clarence Johnson said they are still running full service.

The Fruitvale BART station is quiet. About 20 Alameda County sheriff's deputies have relieved Oakland police officers who were guarding the station. The station is largely empty. A rider getting off a train at the Fruitvale station complimented the efforts to keep protests calm.

"The leadership of young people of color has worked very hard for a peaceful demonstration," said Lea Arellano, a resident of the Fruitvale district. "I want to celebrate the discipline, the commitment and the illustration of peace that is present here at the BART station. We disagree with the verdict, but still there is peace."

6:45 p.m. Stage set up, at least 1,000 gathered in downtown

At 14th and Broadway, demonstrators have set up a stage blocking the intersection. There are 500 to 800 people in downtown. People are holding signs that say "Justice for Oscar Grant," "Jail all racist cops" and "All lives are worthy, no to police brutality and murder."

Lauren Sage is down there and said: "Police brutality affects all of us, and when we stand up for it, it's for all of us."

6:40 p.m. BART reports no delays

No delays reported, and ridership is relatively light. Police Chief Anthony Batts will update the media about the situation downtown at 7 p.m.

6:35 p.m. Banner hung in downtown

Protesters strung a huge banner from a light pole at 14th and Broadway that reads "Oakland says guilty" and "Murder (expletive) the police" in large block letters.

6:30 p.m. Places to speak out peacefully

Looking for a place to speak out? Five community centers are open for people to express themselves. Go to www.oaklandnet.com to learn more.

6:25 p.m. Groups with bandannas over their faces gathering in downtown

There are 300 to 500 people in downtown.

At least four groups of four to five people are at 14th Street and Broadway with bandannas over their faces. They are sending text messages with the bandannas over their faces and then removing them. A few minutes ago, there was a tense standoff between police in riot gear and protesters at 12th Street and Broadway. Then some Oakland women got between the protesters and police and calmed down the crowd, telling them violence is not an appropriate form of protest.

"As parents we have got to get out here and show our children how to do this the right way," said Sheila Rischer, a 40-year-old longshoreman from Oakland. "This is my responsibility," she said of why she got between the police and protesters. "Let's do it the right way and be positive." Her efforts worked, at least for the moment, as the crowd dispersed and moved back toward 14th Street and Broadway where the peaceful rally continued.

6:15 p.m. Men set down chess board in crosswalk to promote peace

Oakland residents Yafeu K. Tyhimba, 41, and Keba Konte, 43, put down a chess board in the crosswalk at 14th Street and Broadway and began playing a game against each other. "It's a thinking man's game,'' Konte said. "And that's what we need to be doing tonight."
6:10 p.m. Streets closed but no arrests so far, reporters monitoring the situation

Broadway is shut down in both directions from 6th to 19th streets. The following streets are also closed to traffic: 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th streets. Police Chief Anthony Batts said that "we don't have any arrests, we don't have any indications of any problems," adding that a rally downtown has been peaceful.

"We're respecting everybody's right to assemble. We're respecting freedom of speech," City Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan said. In reaction to the verdict, she said: "I'm grateful for a guilty verdict. Now, the magnitude of what that verdict means depends on the
sentence."

Mayor Ron Dellums said at a news conference that the Oakland community had "waited with baited breath" for the verdict. "They've come to this moment with pain, with passion, with anger with fear and also with hope."

At 13th and Broadway, many gathered to express their opinions.

"So many community groups have made the point that violence is not justice," said the Rev. Dr. H. James Hopkins, Lakeshore Avenue Baptist. "So justice needs to have nonviolent measures. It's hard to see those videos and to think that today's verdict was justice. So we agree with the mayor when he said that the journey to justice doesn't end here."

Oakland Voices Community Correspondents are on the streets getting Mehserle verdict reaction:
http://www.oaklandvoices.us/2010/07/oaklands-strong-reaction-to-mehserle-verdict.

6 p.m. BART releases statement

BART released a statement with Board President James Fang noting how BART's response to the Grant shooting included revamping transit police training, doing audits of the Police Department, and getting a state law passed to allow BART to establish a police auditor position to investigate complaints against transit police officers.

5:40 p.m. Sitution heating up in downtown Oakland

A girl was either run over by a police car or hit by a bottle at 11th and Broadway. She declined medical attention. The incident happened when an AC Transit bus was trapped by a crowd and police were attempting to free the bus. Police in riot gear have blocked off the intersection of 11th and Broadway.

The Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration, and Immigrant Rights and Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary is calling for a rally at 14th an Broadway to ask:
1. for the maximum sentence for Mehserle,
2. that former BART officers Tony Pirone and Marysol Domenici be jailed,
3. that the BART police are disarmed and disbanded,
4. that massive funding is provided to Oakland for education and jobs for Oakland's black, Latino, Asian, and poor and working-class white youth,
5. police and immigration officials to stop racial profiling of Latino, black, Asian, and other minority youth with and without papers,
6. Oakland Mayor Dellums and other governmental authorities in Oakland to declare that this verdict does not render justice to Oscar Grant and to act on the demands of the movement.

5:30 p.m. Oakland mayor speaks, small fire started at police station

Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums spoke to the media after the verdict. He said he would stand with the family of Oscar Grant III if they were not satisfied with the verdict and wanted to explore other options for getting justice for their son, such as through federal channels. Dellums said people have a constitutional right to express themselves, their anger, their pain, but he hoped they would do it in a manner that is respectful to Oscar Grant III, his family and to the community and would "show the nation that we can handle adversity."

Meanwhile, someone set a fire in a shrub in front of the Oakland Police Department at 7th and Broadway. Flames shot seven feet into the air before it was put out by authorities. No one has been arrested.

5:20 p.m. Mother of Oscar Grant and family attorney speak, governor issues statement

It was peaceful outside the Los Angeles courthouse after the verdict was read. There was a strong police presence inside and outside the courthouse before and after the verdict was read.

Wanda Johnson, Oscar Grant III's mother, was not going to speak after the verdict but changed her mind. "My son was murdered, and the laws did not hold the officer accountable. He was murdered. He was murdered. He was murdered," said an emotional and crying Johnson. "God will not fail us or let us down, and I will trust in Him."

John Burris, attorney for the family, said he is disappointed with the verdict.

"The verdict is not a true representation of what happened to Oscar Grant or what the officers' actions were that night," he said. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger issued a statement regarding the verdict, saying "I encourage Californians to remain calm in light of the verdict and not to resort to violence. I have spoken to Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums and have assured him we are well prepared to assist in maintaining order."

5 p.m. Grant's sister-in-law reacts

Yolanda Nesa, who identifies herself as Oscar Grant's sister-in-law, is outside Oakland City Hall. "This is not justice, they rushed everything," she said of the jury's decision. The mood at Frank H. Ogawa plaza is calm, but it seems as though people are waiting for something to happen.

4:50 p.m. Mehserle could face up to 14 years in prison

The jury has convicted Mehserle of involuntary manslaughter and found that he used a gun during the shooting of Oscar Grant III. He could face two to four years in prison for the involuntary manslaughter conviction and an additional 10 years for the gun enhancement. He will be sentenced Aug. 6. He will not be ineligible for probation. Mehserle will also be forced to serve 85 percent of his eventual sentence, a much higher standard than most crimes.

4:30 p.m. At Fruitvale BART and in front of Oakland City Hall

At Fruitvale BART, it is crowded but calm. Four Oakland police officers are stationed at the entrances and metal gates are up. People reacted to the verdict. "Ah, so he's doing time? He should be doing time. If it was someone else on the street we wouldn't have to wait for this verdict. Justice is served,'' said Pe'i Sevaaetasi of Oakland.

Nicholas Kleeb of Alameda said "All and all I believe the jury did their job,'' he said.

At Frank O'gawa Plaza there is calm as well, though shortly after the conviction was announced, one woman screamed about the injustice of the verdict, while another woman had a more optimistic response, noting the jury brought back a rare verdict against a police officer for shooting a black man.

4:20 p.m. Mehserle being taken into custody

Former BART officer has been free on $3 million bail. Will be sentenced Aug. 6.

All quiet at BART headquarters in downtown Oakland.

4:05 p.m. Mehserle guilty of involuntary manslaughter

Verdict in the Johanne Mehserle case just announced in Los Angeles. Could get two to 14 years in prison.

3:55 p.m. Grant's mother arrives

Oscar Grant's mother, Wanda Grant, has arrived in the courtroom.

3:45 p.m. Media, family and friends of Mehserle in courtroom

Relatives, friends and news reporters have been allowed in the courtroom.

3:30 p.m. City asks residents/merchants to prepare for possible violence

Police are advising residents to park cars in garages or a secure location if possible. Many streets in downtown are being closed off.
Residents and merchants should remove or secure large trash cans that are on the street. To report crimes in process, call 911 or 510-777-3211 from a cell phone. To report any suspicious activity to Oakland police by calling the nonemergency number: 510-777-3333. Updates will be posted on Oaklandnet.com and on twitter: Oaklandpoliceca. Check back at www.insidebayarea.com for updates.

PG&E has temporarily closed two customer service offices, at 1919 Webster St. and 6537 Foothill Blvd. in Oakland. Customers who do business at these locations should call 1-800-PGE-5000 with questions.

3:15 p.m. Verdict in Mehserle case reached

After 6 1/2 hours of deliberations Wednesday and today, the Los Angeles jury of eight women and four men have reached a verdict in the murder case against Johannes Mehserle in the Jan. 1, 2009, shooting death of Oscar Grant III. The verdict is expected to be read about 4 p.m.

At least 200 and as many as 300 Oakland police officers, Alameda County Sheriff's deputies and other law enforcement have been called to the streets of Oakland in case of protests, riots and violence, police said. Metal barriers are going up around the Eastmont substation on MacArthur as a precaution, police said. City hall, Alameda County Superior Court, University of California and major downtown employers, including Kaiser in downtown, have sent employees home early for their own safety. Freeways out of Oakland are jammed as people rush to pick up children and get home before the commute rush begins.

Oakland police will only be responding to violent crimes and crimes in progress as officers will be focused on keep calm in the city. The jury reached a verdict after deliberating part of Wednesday and today.

Mehserle faces one of the following:
Second-degree murder: Mehserle knew the actions he was taking could cause a death but took those actions any way.

Voluntary manslaughter: Mehserle acted in the heat of passion or Mehserle believed his life was in danger but used too much force in defending himself.

Involuntary manslaughter: Mehserle committed an act that posed a high risk of death or great injury because of the way the act was committed. Or, Mehserle's actions could be found by a reasonable person to be reckless.
The 28-year-old former BART police officer was facing first-degree murder, but last week a judge declared that jurors would not be allowed to consider that option.

The unarmed Grant was shot and killed while he was facedown on the Fruitvale BART platform.

Missouri Man Uses Racist Scene Of Black Man Hanging For Halloween Decoration

People in a community in Missouri were outraged at one family's attempt to express themselves for Halloween.

According to KFVS 12, homeowner Rick Hoskins was forced to remove a racially charged Halloween display in front of his home that featured a Ku Klux Klan figure alongside an effigy of a black man hanging from a noose.

"It's my property and my scene for Halloween," Rick Hoskins said. "It's freedom of expression, so to each his own."

The display, which could be seen by drivers on Interstate 55, has caused quite a stir in the small community and after at the request of the county Sherriff, was finally removed.

“There's been a bunch of people that's stopped by since I put them up,” Hoskins told KFVS.

“Said they want to shake my hand. They said they're glad to see a little white pride is still left in this country.”

Hoskins states that although he complied with the Sherriff's request, he planned to consult with an attorney with the intent of putting the decorations back up.

I Am So Sick Of The Amerikkka "Just Us" System

And they say LYNCHINGS are over and done.

Nah, It just has a new face on it!

Today, Monday, June 21, the Gray-Haired Witnesses are holding a fast and day of protest in the nation’s capital, beginning with activities at the Justice Department, then moving on to the White House and ending up at Lafayette Square Park. They’re demanding justice and freedom for Jamie and Gladys Scott, two Black women with double life sentences for a robbery of $11 dollars! They’re also demanding immediate action to deal with the atrocious medical practices in the moldy health unit if the state prison, which have left Jamie at the point of death due to kidney failure at the age of 38.

Even if the Scott sisters had stolen $11 or $100 or $1000, which was not the case, it’s an outrage that they’ve been locked up for 15 ½ years and that the State intends to keep them in prison forever. An abuse of power? It’s more like the exercise of power in a country built on the backs of slaves.

The case

On the night of December 23, 1992, the Scott sisters were in good health in the small town of Forest, Mississippi. Gladys was 19 years old and Jamie 22. Jamie had a daughter and two sons; Gladys had a daughter and was pregnant. When the left a local Minit Mart that night, they had car trouble and asked two young Black men for a ride. They took them home. A little later on, the two men were robbed by three teen-agers of the Patrick family, who confessed to the robbery. Even though the initial statements did not implicate the Scott sisters, Sheriff Marvin Williams showed up at their house the next morning to arrest them.

About ten months later, Gladys and Jamie were tried and found guilty of the crime of armed robbery. Based on coerced testimonies, the state’s attorney convinced the jury that the Scott sisters had masterminded the robbery even though one of the victims testified that this was not true. The teen-agers known as “the Patrick men” were also found guilty, but got light sentences because they had cut a deal to blame the robbery on the Scott sisters. Even though 14-year-old Howard Patrick admitted under cross-examination that he had fingered them under threat of being raped in prison, the jury condemned Jamie and Gladys to die in prison, and sentenced their children to grow up without a mother. Four years later, one of the Patrick men signed an affidavit clearing the Scott sisters of the robbery, but this statement was never considered in a court of law.

Information pieced together by legal analyst Nancy Lockhart and developed in an article published by Dr. Lenore Daniels in the Black Commentator, indicates that the absurd and vicious incrimination of the Scott sisters is the result of a vendetta by former Sheriff Glenn Warren, known as the “high white sheriff”, because the Scott Sisters’ dad, James ‘Hawk’ Rasco, and other family members refused to be intimidated by the system of white power and corruption in the county. A cousin who had to pay a bribe to Sheriff Warren in order to sell illegal alcohol in his club testified against him in an investigation of “a bootlegging operation that also may have involved the judge who presided over the Scott’s trial.” When James Rasco bought the club from his nephew and refused to go along with official corruption, the new sheriff, Marvin Williams, a Black man at the service of white power, swore that the family would pay dearly.

Ever since James Rasco died of a heart attack in 2003, full of anger and grief over not having been able to help his daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Rasco, who takes care of her own children as well as those of Gladys and Jamie, has tenaciously knocked on doors, written, and called officials and civil rights groups that might be able to help free her daughters. Her older son has also helped out. The official response has been practically nil, but demonstrations have been held at the State Capitol building in Jackson, Mississippi, and in recent years, more information has gotten out about the case.

The Gray-Haired Witnesses’ Call

The protest today in Washington DC is organized by seven Black women with many years of experience in fighting for the freedom of political prisoners and against the prison system. Their Call begins with a quote by Ida B. Wells in 1896:

“’One had better die fighting against injustice than die like a dog or a rat in a trap.’ Her proclamation was a rallying cry for the nation to stand up against lynching and the right of Black men and women to live and move freely with white vigilante groups desecrating and torturing our bodies. When Ida B. Wells stood up, she set in motion a resistance movement where many Americans broke their silence against lynching and said NO. She stood for a race of people bereft of political power or resources. More than 100 years later Gray-Haired Witnesses, Black women with a new Freedom Movement calling on this nation, stand in the spirit of those proud men and women who won hard-fought for victories in struggle and blood….”

“Many of us lived through segregation and worked to dismantle it through various movements for human dignity, equal rights and justice. We now see a coalition of corporate, cultural and political wars fully embracing a White supremacist culture of domination and terrorism. They use their power and resources to lock down-out and up people of color, especially Black people. They seek to weaken our defenses and power to resist by attacking the strongholds that carried us through enslavement, segregation, and Northern oppression. As part of this campaign they slander and dehumanize the entire Black community in the media and other public spaces.”

“This is perfectly illustrated by the case of the Mississippi Scott Sisters, Jamie and Gladys, whose almost 16 yrs of unjust incarceration is a shocking revelation of the pure nothingness with which our lives are deemed in the eyes of this society and world, where such egregious travesties of justice are heaped upon our women with hate-filled arrogance and in plain view!...”

“We must speak loudly and clearly to the devaluation of Black women's bodies and lives. We want people of all colors to wage a struggle and stand with us on these issues because none of us are free until we are all free.”

“We declare that we will act, do what we must, what is required to protect our community, our families and our children from systemic harm which results in their destruction. We will not be pressed down. We will witness from our rich history, in wisdom and with courage.”

Messages of Support

The fast and day of actions is endorsed by over sixty organizations and individuals, including political prisoners Sundiata Acoli and Mumia Abu-Jamal, and civil rights activist Dick Gregory, who considers the case one of the worst he’s ever heard of in his life. “This country should be embarrassed to have such a blatant travesty of justice exist while wagging our finger at people abroad for human rights abuses. What we have going on here is the epitome of cruel and unusual punishment and is outrageous, even for Mississippi!"

Sundiata Acoli says “…It could be your sister, my sister, anybody's sister! So i gladly join the June 21st fast in solidarity with the Gray-Haired Witnesses White House demonstration demanding freedom for Scott Sisters. It's the very least i or anyone of us could do and i'm urging my family and friends to attend and fast also. If that doesn't get immediate result i hope you'll consider coming back with a campaign to boycott of the state of Mississippi, or some similar action, till they do free the Scott Sisters. Stay strong, and keep fighting, i will too. Free the Scott Sisters! Sundiata Acoli, Political Prisoner"

This is Mumia Abu-Jamal’s message: “Dear Gray-Haired Witnesses: It's wonderful that y'all are supporting the Scott Sisters of Mississippi. I salute you all for your efforts to obtain justice and liberation for them. From the dawn of human time, the 'gray-haired ones' -- the elders, were the communal repository for knowledge of things seen and unseen.
This arises from the great respect accorded the aged in African traditional society. That sistas such as y'all are doing this, in this society of coldness, repression and what I call the 'Prisonhouse of Nations', is a good and necessary thing. As Michelle Alexander has written, the prison industrial complex is the 'new Jim Crow'. So, the battle continues. So, kudos. i salute you all. Ona Move! LLJA! Alla best, Mumia (Abu-Jamal)”

In her message of support, Michelle Alexander tells one of the founders of the Gray-Haired Witnesses, Sis Marpessa Kupendua, that the group is “calling attention to the harm caused by America’s latest caste system: mass incarceration. Women of color are the fastest growing group of the prison population today and the Gray Haired Witnesses for Justice are shining a bright light on the racial bias and cruelty of our criminal justice system.” In an article in the Huffington Post, Alexander wrote: “The double life sentences imposed on the Scott sisters for an alleged robbery in Mississippi netting little more than $11 is a glaring example of a criminal justice system that is no longer much concerned with justice. No one was hurt or injured, and these women have no prior offenses. No other Western democracy subjects its own people to such draconian punishment for minor crimes. And no other country in the world incarcerates such a large percentage of its racial and ethnic minorities. This is Jim Crow justice, alive and well today. I urge all those of conscience to support the Scott sisters and the thousands of other prisoners who find themselves in similar shoes. Sadly, the Scott sisters are not alone. The Gray Haired Witnesses for Justice are standing up for all those suffering needlessly behind bars and we must join them. If we fail to act, history will judge us harshly.”

Some Of The Many Faces Of Whites, That Tried To Falsely Accuse Blacks For Their Crimes.

THE BLACKS DID IT!

What whites have been doing since slavery!

1. Charlse Manson: The Notorious, Psychopath cult leader from the late sixties. Who actually didn't murder anyone, but he instructed his followers to carry out multiple murders in the Los Angelas area. His whole incentive was to start a race war between blacks and whites.

2.Susan Smith: South Carolina mother who drowned and killed her two sons and tried to blame it on fictional, black, carjackers. Sounds like mother of the year.

3. Senator John Mccain volunteer: Claimed that blacks beat her up and carved the letter "B" in her face in Pittburgh. The B was supposedly stood for Barack. When President Barack Obama was running up against Mccain for the presidental seat. I mean who does this kind of shit?

4. White bank robber: Decided to rob banks. When the police went looking for the culprit they discovered he was actually a Caucasian with a $2000 mask of black face. This white dude once told me that "I'm glad I'm white and not black, because i'll be locked up for all the crimes I committed if I was black'

5. Bethany Storro: Self-Muliated her own face. By throwing acid on her face and tried to pin it on some random black chick. I knew that she was lying when she said that the black woman said, “hey pretty girl. In fact she wasn't pretty to begin with and maybe she wanted to start where charlie manson left off. SMH

This shiit has been going on for too long.

Evil Hypocritical Christians Talk About Burning The Quran On 911

I'm not a muslim and I don't believe in any religion, but this is just down right evil for people to think this way and to do something like this. When most Christians claim their god loving people. Most Christians are the most and worst sinners I know and on top of that they are habitiual hypocrites. Is this an another attack on Brown peple in the US? I mean they go at us blacks everyday now Hispanics and Arabics. Is YT trying to start a race war, because they're mad at obama and threaten by people of HUE?

Uniting Against the Quran-Burning Threat
Even in these fractious times, pundits and pols of all stripes condemn the stunt.
Who would have thought that it would be the threat of burning Qurans that would persuade pols and pundits of all stripes to show a little unity? That’s exactly what's been happening this week, and we have Pastor Terry Jones and his flock in Gainesville, Fla. - they of the “International Burn a Koran Day” (scheduled for the ninth anniversary of 9/11 this weekend) - to thank.

As Jones’ planned stunt has garnered more publicity, a remarkable array of public figures has condemned it. Many, including Sen. John McCain, have noted the practical danger it poses to Americans: as Gen. David Patreus said earlier this week, extremists across the globe would “undoubtedly” use images of the event as a recruiting tool and perhaps respond with violence. President Obama likened the impact of Jones’ proposed desecration to a “recruitment bonanza for Al Qaeda

Yet what stands out in this news cycle is not the practical argument against what might happen in Florida this weekend. It’s the “values” argument – those intangible issues on which, as the Quran-burning discourse proves, Americans have more in common than we think. “What [Jones] is proposing to do is completely contrary to the value of Americans,” the president said. Added Mitt Romney, a 2012 Republican presidential candidate-in-waiting: “it violates a founding principle of our republic.” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, “it is unfortunate. It is not who we are.” Sarah Palin responded in a similar vein, writing “book burning is antithetical to American ideals.”

The list goes on and includes opposition from FoxNews host Glenn Beck, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and another potential GOP presidential candidate, Mississippi Gov. Haley

Conspicuously silent as of Thursday morning was Newt Gingrich, the Republican former speaker of the House whose use of the term “stealth jihad” echoes the same fear of an undetected, international Muslim conspiracy that Jones expressed in an interview Thursday. Jones said he and his followers were burning the Muslim holy books to send a message to radical Islamists that “we do not want them to do what they appear to be doing in Europe,” namely to “push their agenda” and impose Islamic law.

As NEWSWEEK’s Christopher Dickey notes in a column published Thursday, the idea of an international Muslim conspiracy is as misleading as it is helpful to al-Qaeda and other, smaller groups of extremist Muslims who want to see their enemies crippled by fear. At least on this issue, our leaders appear to be wise to the propaganda game.

Teens hurt in racial neighborhood fight, no charges yet

New Haven, Mich. (WXYZ) - A neighborhood fight in the Amhurst subdivision in the village of New Haven on Saturday night left several young African American teens injured, beaten they say by a group of white grown ups.

It all started they say when some black teenage girls splashed some white girls at the neighborhood pool by accident. The Police chief says later on a group of about 15 teens went to the home of a white family. Everyone got into the tussle and the teens say they were hit with fists and bottles.

One of the teen girls, Kiersten Morris said, “Everybody was fighting and grown men were hitting me, like 30 year old men. They grabbed me and threw me to the ground and kicked me and punched me.

Tomorrow the chief has called a meeting with everyone involved to try to sort out what exactly sparked the trouble and settle it. The prosecutor will be the one to decide on possible charges. The chief says he doesn't think the was racially motivated.

Black teens say ‘mob’ of white men attacked them in New Haven, MI

By Mitch Hotts, Macomb Daily Staff Writer

Victim says racial taunts, death threats continued after arrest

A black teenager has what appears to be the imprint of a boot on his bruised face after he and four of his friends and relatives say they were beaten by a “mob” of up to three dozen white people in New Haven over the weekend.

The incident was sparked by a dispute among several girls using a pool in the Amherst subdivision near 27 Mile Road and Gratiot on Saturday, according to Dvonta Lebby, one of the victims.

“I got jumped by 20 or 30 people, grown men, who started hitting me, and kept attacking us and didn’t stop until the police came,” Lebby said, adding one of the men stomped on his face so hard, the boot imprint remains.

Lebby, 18, a student at New Haven High School, said several of the white man repeatedly called him “nigger” and used other racial taunts against others being attacked by the group.

Witnesses said one of the alleged attackers was arrested by New Haven police but officers took no action against others accused in the incident.

The police station Sunday was closed for the weekend. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, which sent deputies to assist New Haven officers during the Saturday evening skirmish, referred reporters to New Haven Police Chief Michael Henry, who could not be reached Sunday.

Several of the victims had bruises and scratches, but none required hospitalization.

According to Lebby and his family and friends, some of their 15-year-old female relatives were using the pool Saturday afternoon. The girls accidentally splashed another group of females in the pool and words were exchanged.

Later Saturday, while Lebby and his friends were at home on Bradford, a group of people from down the street who were attending a birthday party at a white woman’s home gathered in the alley behind the house.

The woman who was hosting the party declined to comment Sunday afternoon.

Lebby was one of five males and two females who say they were attacked by white men who held them down and repeatedly struck them. Police were called to restore order.

“It was like a mob of 20 to 30 grown men in their 30s or 40s looking to fight these kids,” said Robbie Lebby, Dvonta’s mother. “I’m hollering at them to stop it — we’re talking grown men punching and kicking these kids.”

Lebby said his friend, 17-year-old Cory Jamison, “saved my life” by pulling some of the attackers off of him but then Jamison was hit in retaliation.

But in the hours after the confrontation, Lebby said the alleged attackers continued to make threats by driving by his home and yelling out slurs and also vowing on a Facebook page to kill the teens.

Jamison’s mother, Nicole, who saw much of the incident, said she is afraid for the safety of the black children in the neighborhood. She feels her own life is in danger as well.

“Justice needs to be served,” she said. “We need some protection out here

Serial killer strikes in Ohio and Virginia.

SMH… The crazed lunatic white serial killer who has been stabbing up black men in Michigan is believed to have struck in Virginia as well, seriously injuring at least three more victims there.
A white man who stabbed or attacked three dark-skinned men in Leesburg this month is probably the “Flint serial killer,” thought to have killed five men and wounded 10 — almost all of them black — in Michigan, police said Monday

The unprovoked Virginia assaults began Aug. 3, when a teenager out for a nighttime jog suddenly felt a sharp pain, then turned to see a man who had plunged a knife in his back. Two days later and a short distance away, police think, the same assailant stabbed a 67-year-old man who was sitting on the stoop outside his apartment. Then, on Friday, the attacker asked a man for help fixing a dark-green sport-utility vehicle, then struck the good Samaritan in the head with a hammer.

Leesburg Police Chief Joseph R. Price said he is confident the man wanted in Flint is the same person attacking men in Loudoun County. There are striking similarities in the methods of the attacks, but the strongest evidence is the specific description of the suspect’s green SUV, which is nearly identical in both locations.

Price said he thinks the man may be prowling for more victims and warned residents to be on guard. He recommended that people use the buddy system while walking or jogging. Police in Michigan have been reluctant to say the attacker is motivated by race, but Price was not.

“He’s attacking based simply on the color of their skin,” Price said. “I would consider this man to be very desperate and very dangerous.”

Meanwhile, indications emerged Monday that the assailant may have struck over the weekend in Toledo. The last attack in Leesburg was on Friday.

Police in the Ohio city said Monday that the stabbing of a black Toledo man Saturday is likely linked to similar crimes in Flint and Leesburg, ToledoBlade.com reported.

The Toledo newspaper website said a 59-year-old Toldeo man was in critical condition Monday after being stabbed Saturday night by a man who asked him for directions. The website said the assailant was reportedly driving a dark green, older model Chevrolet S-10 Blazer with a tan lower section.

According to the website, police described the assailant as a white or Middle Eastern man, 5 feet 8 and 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police in Leesburg said they have reached out to the local NAACP. “It does appear that the target of his rage, the targets of his attacks, are African American,” Price said.

Two of the Leesburg victims are black. The 19-year-old who was struck with the hammer is Hispanic, but police think the attacker mistook him for African American because of his dark complexion. In the Leesburg attacks, the man has not used racial slurs or indicated any motive to his victims. In two instances, he did not speak.

In Michigan, police think a single assailant has stabbed 15 men since May, killing five. Thirteen of the victims are black, and two are white. All of the those killed were black. Michigan State Police 1st Lt. Patrick McGreevy said investigators there are aggressively examining the Leesburg cases but are not certain the same man is responsible.

“I can tell you there are similarities, and it may appear to be the same person,” McGreevy said. “But to say they are conclusively linked — we are not prepared to state that.”

Police say the link to Michigan is not based on forensic evidence, such as DNA, and is therefore not conclusive. But Leesburg detectives noticed similarities to the Flint attacks and flagged investigators there. The attacker’s description — a white man with a muscular build who often wears a baseball cap — is similar. Police think he often (but not always) chooses targets who are vulnerable: people who are older or of small stature. The victims are alone when they are approached. In each state, the attacker has used a similar ruse, asking for help with his car.

But the suspect’s vehicle makes Leesburg police confident it’s the same man. In both locations, the attacker was seen in a dark-green Chevrolet Blazer with tan paneling around the bottom. In Leesburg, the vehicle was described as having two grapefruit-size dents in the hood. An image of the car was captured on surveillance video after the most recent attack.

“These people are assaulted, and he disappears into the night,” McGreevy said. “We’re not going to stop until we get this guy.”

Leesburg police have stepped up patrols, and the FBI is helping with the investigation. Police in Leesburg and Flint — separated by 555 miles, or about 9 1/2 hours by car — announced the possible connection Monday and urged anyone who may have seen the SUV or have other information to call them.

“Clearly people have seen this person, have seen this vehicle,” Price said. “We have no information to say if he’s still here, or if he has fled.”

Ronald Turco, an Oregon psychiatrist who has studied serial killers and worked with the FBI, said if it is the same assailant, he thinks the crimes are probably racially motivated, partly because the attacker has targeted similar victims and Leesburg is not predominantly African American. The town’s population is about 10 percent black.

“I’d say it’s someone who has a deep resentment against black people,” Turco said.

In Leesburg, the assaults began about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 3. A 15-year-old boy was jogging near a busy stretch of strip malls when he felt a pain in his back. Then he saw blood. The assailant never spoke, but the teen saw him run and flee in a car he described as a green minivan with a white stripe. Police think it could have been the SUV because the teenager’s fleeting glance was in the dark after he had just been stabbed.

Two days later, a 67-year-old Leesburg man was sitting outside his Edwards Ferry Road apartment just after 6 a.m. when a man wearing a baseball cap hopped out of his vehicle and walked past him into the apartment building. The man soon came back out and, without a word, stabbed the Leesburg man in the back.

The most recent Leesburg attack happened Friday night when a 19-year-old Hispanic man walking through a parking lot to meet friends was approached by a man who said he need help fixing his car. When the two got to the man’s car, the assailant pulled out a tool they think was a hammer and aimed at the teenager’s head. The teenager avoided the worst of the blow, and then ran for safety.

Police said the 15-year-old and the 67-year-old remain hospitalized. Both are expected to recover, though the older man had to have a kidney removed as a result of his wounds. The 19-year-old is recovering, they said.

Why has there not been more national coverage about this psycho? Had he been targeting white people this deranged lunatic would have been buried UNDER the jail already

Serial Killer targeting black men in Flint, MI

FLINT, Mich. — Police in Michigan are looking for a man believed to be responsible for the stabbing deaths of five men and the wounding of eight others since May.

All but one of the victims has been black, but authorities aren't ready to call the attacks racially motivated, according to The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press on Friday.

Ten attacks occurred in Flint, which is a predominantly black city about 50 miles northwest of Detroit and three others were in nearby communities.

"We don't know if he's targeting male blacks or that's who he's coming across walking late at night," Flint Police Sgt. J. Leigh Golden told the Free Press.

Officials said all the victims were stabbed and one person is thought to be behind them.

Survivors have said they were attacked by a muscular-built white man with light-colored hair. In some cases they were asked for directions or told of truck troubles before being attacked.

The most recent victim, 49-year-old Arnold Minor, was found dead Monday in Flint.

He had been walking home after dinner at his brother's home and a visit with his mother, his sister Stephanie Ward told The Detroit News. Buses had stopped running for the night and Minor decided to walk the 10 miles home.

"When they found him, he wasn't far from home," Ward said. "He bled to death on the street. You don't know what goes through somebody's mind to do something like that."

Rashandia Jones works at the cleaners not far from where Minor's body was found.

"We're just trying to get the word out to our friends and family," said Jones told the Free Press. "Watch where you're at."

Mehserle GUILTY Of Involuntary Manslaughter! Jury Delivers Verdict In Oscar Grant Killing

A former transit police officer who fatally shot an unarmed man at an Oakland train station was convicted of involuntary manslaughter Thursday, capping a racially charged case that raised fears in the Bay Area of possible violence after the verdict.

Prosecutors accused the ex-officer of intentionally firing his handgun as he tried to handcuff Oscar J. Grant III on New Year’s Day 2009. Johannes Mehserle, 28, tearfully testified that the shooting was a tragic accident caused when he mistakenly grabbed his firearm instead of an electric Taser weapon during a struggle with Grant.

The shooting was captured on video by several witnesses. Mehserle, who is white, fired a single round into the back of Grant, who was black and was lying face-down on the station platform. Mehserle resigned a week after the shooting.

The killing provoked protests and violence in Oakland. The case, which has drawn comparisons to the videotaped beating of Rodney G. King that ultimately triggered riots in Los Angeles in 1992, was moved to Los Angeles for trial amid concern about the extensive media coverage of the slaying in the Bay Area.

The shooting occurred soon after police responded to reports of a fight on a train stopped at the Fruitvale Station. Grant and four friends were detained by a different police officer who prosecutors said used excessive force against the men. Mehserle arrived on the platform after the men had been detained.

Alameda County Deputy Dist. Atty. David R. Stein rejected the idea that the shooting was a mistake, telling jurors that Mehserle’s holster was specially designed to prevent easy release of his firearm. The prosecutor contrasted the light, bright yellow Taser gun with the heavier black Sig Sauer handgun that Mehserle fired.

“He let his aggression dictate his conduct,” Stein told jurors.

The prosecutor urged jurors to find Mehserle guilty of second-degree murder, pointing out that the officer never told his colleagues that night that the shooting was an accident.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles have not won a murder conviction in a police shooting case since 1983.

Mehserle testified that he intended to use his Taser because he believed Grant, 22, might be reaching for a gun in his pants pocket. While the officer’s firearm was on his right side, the Taser was in a holster on the left side of his belt but angled so that it could be pulled out with his right hand.

Two people, including a friend of Grant’s, testified that they heard the officer say he intended to use his Taser shortly before the shooting. In at least six other instances, officers have said they made the same mistake of firing a handgun when they intended to use a Taser.

Numerous witnesses said Mehserle looked shocked after the gunshot. Defense attorney Michael L. Rains said video footage shows his client holding his head in his hands in despair.

“He’s sick to his stomach,” Rains told jurors, “because he has shot a man who did not deserve to be shot.”

The eight-woman, four-man jury consisted of seven whites, three Latinos, one Asian-Pacific islander and one person who declined to state a race. That’s right. Zero black jurors. SMH.

Involuntary manslaughter carries a sentence of two to four years in prison. Sentencing is set for Aug. 6.

SMH… This guy could end up doing less time than Michael Vick for shooting an unarmed man in the back.

Do you think this is a just sentence, or does the American justice system still carry a racial bias especially when it comes to victims who are black who die at the hands of white law officials?

Blame the nigger: Jeremy London Allegedly Kidnapped And “Forced” To Smoke Dope, Folks Claim Otherwise

This story sounds extremely bizarre. Remember that Jeremy London dude from Party of Five and 7th Heaven??? Well, apparently he was kidnapped and forced to smoke rocks, and some people beg to differ…SMH.

Details on this comedy when you…
According to Radaronline:

Brandon Adams, the man currently behind bars and accused of kidnapping Party Of Five star Jeremy London, would never have forced anyone to do drugs, say friends who know the Palm Springs local.

RadarOnline.com was first to break the story Thursday of the bizarre ordeal surrounding London and leading to Adams’ arrest. London claims that a stranger helped him fix a flat tire and then kidnapped him, forcing him to smoke drugs, buy alcohol and then distribute it. Adams was arrested and charged with numerous offenses. But we spoke exclusively to a couple who know Adams and live in the same apartment building, and they said they believe Adams would do drugs with the actor, but absolutely reject the notion he would FORCE London to do drugs. “I don’t believe it,” a neighbor – who wished to remain anonymous – told RadarOnline.com about the charges Adams forced London to smoke drugs

“Brandon probably was doing drugs WITH that actor, and the guy just said he was

Dude’s family doesn’t even believe him:

Jeremy London’s bizarre tale of being kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to smoke crack has his family worried.

The actor’s twin brother Jason and mom Debbie Nielsen say in an exclusive interview with E! that more than anything they’re concerned about Jeremy, who told E! in April that he had successfully kicked an addiction to prescription meds and was seven months’ sober.

“There have been times we’ve had hope [he has remained clean],” says Jason. “We are very concerned for him. This is his family’s cry for help.” “I don’t want him to be another statistic,” added Nielsen, whose daughter (and the twins’ sister) Dedra died in a car accident when she was 16. “I don’t want to bury another child.”

White Caveman Kills Black Woman With Hammer!

Orange County Sheriff's office says a 35-year-old Kountze man has confessed to killing a 26-year-old Beaumont woman over the weekend and later dragging her body behind his pickup truck.

Authorities say William Baker Bibb is charged with murder and is being held in the Orange County Jail on a $1 million bond. Authorities say preliminary autopsy results show the woman died of blunt force trauma to the head.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office says they received a call at 11 a.m. Saturday morning of a dead body near the Rose City Sand Pit in Rose City. According to the Sheriff's office, the man called 911 claiming he and the deceased woman were victims of a crime.

But authorities now say Bibb confessed to killing Theresa Adell Ardoin sometime Saturday morning after a "fight." Orange County Sheriff's Department say Bibb picked up Ardoin from Magnolia Avenue in Beaumont and drove her to a sandpit north of Rose City.

The sheriff says Bibb and Ardoin were acquaintances and allegedly got together to "possibly do some drugs, have sex" at a sand pit, but they argued. Bibb allegedly struck her with a hammer.

Authorities say after killing her, Bibb attached her body to his pickup truck and dragged about a quarter-mile to the canal.

Authorities say there is no evidence that the crime was that of a hate crime. Bibb is Caucasian, while Ardoin was African American.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case as murder.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office is being assisted by detectives from the Orange Police Department, Pinehurst Police Department, Vidor Police Department, and the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office is calling this one of the worst murder investigations they've ever had. Workers and business owners at the sand pit property said it's hard to believe the gruesome story of what happened over the weekend.

Jason Miles has driven through the gates at the Rose City Sand Pit as a freelance truck driver for several years.

He said he can't believe he now shares his workplace with crime-scene investigators.

"Such a horrendous crime - and just knowing that it happened nearby where you work is even more of a shock" said Miles.

Investigators said William Bibb confessed to killing an acquaintance Theresa Ardoin Friday night near a clearing in the sand pit. Investigators said Bibb beat Ardoin to death with a hammer, then tied her body with a rope to his truck, and dragged her a quarter mile dumping the vehicle and Ardoin's body in a ditch.

In a press conference Monday, the Sheriff's office said though Ardoin is black, they won't investigate the murder as a hate crime, citing the evidence doesn't point to her death being about race or religion.

"At first he had given us a set of facts and then whenever he was really questioned by the investigators about his facts that didn't make any sense- then he realized he needed to tell the truth" said Chief Deputy Rodney Harrison with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

But the truth is, some businesses in the area are upset.

Nearby business owners said some of the gates leading to the clearing are never locked - leaving the property exposed to anyone coming in and out whenever they please.

For Miles, he said that knowing someone took advantage of the isolated dirt roads he works on every day, is upsetting.

"It's very sad to hear that anyone loses their life to a violent crime and just knowing that it happened here makes it that much more close to home" said Miles.

Leaving Miles with a new perspective as he works within the yellow tape, a haunting reminder of the weekend's events.

Seattle officer punches girl in face during jaywalking stop

Seattle police are investigating what they call an assault of an officer in South Seattle. However, a police officer is seen punching a 17-year-old girl in the face during the incident captured by a video camera on Monday According to Seattle police, the incident began when an officer spotted a man jaywalking in the 3100 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Way S. at approximately 3:10 p.m. The man was some 15 feet away from a pedestrian overpass, police said. The officer was talking to the man when he saw four young women jaywalk across the same street at the same spot. The officer asked the women to step over to his patrol car, but the women were being "verbally antagonistic toward the officer," according to officials. One of the women, later identified as a 19 year old, began to walk away from the scene despite the officer's instructions, prompting the officer to walk over to her and escort her back to his patrol car. The girl then "began to tense up her arm, and pull away from the officer while yelling at him," investigators said. The officer told the girl to place her hands on his patrol car, but she refused. When the officer tried to grab hold of her, "she pulled away and twisted, breaking free of the officer's grip several times," the blotter report said. When the officer tried to handcuff the girl, another girl, this one 17 years old, intervened and placed her hands on the officer's arm, "causing the officer to believe she was attempting to physically affect the first subject's escape," police said. The officer pushed back the second girl, but the girl came back at him. The officer then punched her, police said. The officer then handcuffed the 19-year-old woman. Other officers arrived and helped handcuff the second girl. Both teens were cited for jaywalking. The older suspect was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of obstructing an officer. The 17-year-old girl was booked into the Youth Service Center for investigation of assault of an officer. Nobody was injured during the incident, police said. Seattle police have not reviewed the video of the incident. Sgt. Sean Whitcomb said investigators may review the video on Tuesday. Whitcomb said the officer involved in the incident sent out a call for help, prompting other officers to rush to his aid. All use of force on the job is reviewed, Whitcomb said, as use of force is under the officer's discretion. He added that punching is a trained tactic. "There will be a thorough investigation into this incident," he said. http://www.seattlepi.com/local/421775_officerpunch15.html?source=mypi All for Jaywalking? You mean to tell me this big, racist, cracker, nazi thug with a badge don't have any real criminals to arrest? You wonder why folks don't respect the Popos. SMH
