Tavis Smiley Quits Tom Joyner Show
Black people, are we our own worst enemy? This is really pathetic that folks would resort to threatening this man's family, just because he doesn't worship the almighty, black saviour Barack Hussein Osama. I mean black folks can't get Jesus to save them,so they turn to their god Obama to do so. I guess obama's infallible and walks on water to them even though he's an CFR (Council On Foreign Relations) puppet. Black folks just want to vote for him, because he's black. It's sort of reminds me of the boondocks episode when folks were supporting the pedophile R. Kelly. Even though the prosecutors had DNA evidence to prove him guilty, but because he made good music that should exempt him from his child molesting crimes. Let's give this another SMH!

Yet another example of black folks doing more harm to ourselves than any thing the "white man" can ado. To criticize and vilify Tavis because he is telling us that as a community we must make sure we know what we're buying and not buy it solely because it's black, is about us as a community being responsible and holding all those --- regardless of race -- who want our support to be accountable. The days should have been long over when we would give our backing to anyone simply because they're black. Yes, when Obama wins the White House it would signal a high achievement for the black community. But does that mean we should blindly back Obama without vetting him? I think not. That's how we got Bill Clinton in the first place. How did that really turn out for the black community?
ReplyDeleteI also wished Tavis had stayed on the TMJ, and withstood the criticism. Debate, without rancor, is good and healthy. Perhaps Tavis has been so use to accolades for the clearly good work he's doing that he is unable to withstand the arrows when others disagree.
